Capturing Life's Memorable Moments
Kevin O'Connell freelancer Brooklyn, N.Y., USA
Kevin is an amateur photographer who finds his creativity in restoration and retouching with Photoshop.
Kevin says:
"Capture, manipulate, surprise is my self satisfaction. I presently teach Photoshop and retouch photos for individual clients."
I was visiting my sister at her house on the Jersey shore. We were having dinner on her deck when this squirrel appeared and took charge of the bird feeder. His athleticism was admirable and called for a photo-op. Turns out this critter learned his tricks over time! I'm on a Mac 10.37 and live for Photoshop!
Stop Sign: This shot was taken outside my apartment in Brooklyn on a snowy day when everything was grey except for this stop sign which stood out. My Photoshop urge got the best of me!
Under Water: Getting my girlfriend to make faces for the camera was my goal. Putting her under water was a Photoshop after thought! 3Kids on the Street: Seeing these kids all dressed alike caught my eye, curiosity caught the little girls eye!
Airplane: There is a great spot at the end of this Washington D.C. airport where you can watch the planes approach for landing. These three kids had the same idea!
DTG says:
Our Favorite: This lovely shot titled "Did you see" at first seems like most any ordinary street shot -- but the little girl looking back is priceless.
You'll note Kevin's eye for design and dynamics... no static shots, and all looking for some appropriate typography.
Bravo, Kevin... thanks for sharing with all our readers!
